Lee Valley Dog Training School has been fantastic. The puppy lessons were just what we needed – clear, practical, and really helpful. Peggy Sue has now completed her training, and the difference is amazing. She’s a happy, confident pup, and that’s thanks to the time and support we got from the team. Just had a session with Winston for our 3 yr old Cuckerpoo Teddy who suffers from separation anxiety. Already seen a difference after one session, Winston was calm and patient and very professional. We’ve only had one session with Winston so far, but we’re already so impressed! Our dog Reggie is highly reactive to just about everything, and Winston handled him with such calm confidence. He was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and gave us some practical tips and strategies that are already making a difference. It’s clear he really understands dog behavior and takes the time to tailor his approach. We’re looking forward to booking more sessions and continuing Reggie’s progress. We have loved training with (we started with our labradoodle puppy and progressed to middle/ adult dog) Lee Valley Dog Training School. So many schools you have to commit to an 8 week programme, and while that might suit some. The fact that there is flexibility of pay as you go works so well around family and general life.

The classes are small and friendly everyone routing for each other and the outdoor classes (there are indoor ones too) use a lot to real life distractions. From walking past dogs without reactions, genuine noices and smells, to long recalls without getting distracted by others milling around.

The trainers are also always willing to have a laugh, whether dancing for distractions or threatening us with having to make cakes if our dogs steel sausages. No questions feel stupid and no mistakes made by us (not our dogs feel too bad, just something to learn from)

Rogue is a family dog we won’t be doing any crazy competitions but I want a dog that is disciplined, that I can relax with, and enjoy in all situations and that is what Lee valley is helping me (as we will contribute to, as we will keep coming for me and the dog love it) with.

We had a 121 with Winston and talked about behavioural issues that are rescued dog had. He was very quick to identify the issues and set to work addressing each one in a clear and concise way. He got all the family on board with training and we went through all the steps. Allowing each family member a go at using the training techniques and correcting us. We enrolled our puppy, Bailey, at Lee Valley Dog Training School, and it’s been an amazing experience from start to finish! The trainers—especially Winston, and team are knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely care about each dog’s progress.

The class sizes are small, which meant Bailey got plenty of individual attention. The friendly, supportive atmosphere made every session enjoyable. We now feel more confident taking Bailey out and about.

If you’re looking for a professional and caring place to train your puppy, I can't recommend Lee Valley Dog Training School enough. It’s been a fantastic investment in Bailey’s future and our peace of mind.
